Joint Professional Excellence Committee (PEC)

The PEC was created to meet the contractual requirement of maintaining a joint District and EEA committee. This group was originally tasked with discussing and creating collaborative solutions relating to compensation, professional development and teacher evaluation. Additionally, this has been the group of origin recommending annual calendars.

Central to the organization of this group is the concept of collaboration and discussion in moving toward shared decision making as referenced in our Contract and Trust Agreement. While the purview of this group is wide, it does not have decision making authority, rather it discusses and recommends solutions to the many difficult situations faced by District and its employees. By agreement representation in this group is one-third District and two-thirds Association.
